Light is the portion of radiation (electromagnetic waves) the eye can perceive. Wavelengths of light range from about 400 nanometers at the violet end of the spectrum to 700 nanometers at the red end: the rainbow.
During the night with little light we can perceive the shapes only as grey forms, then the sun of the day arrives and a world in colours explodes. The ease in recognizing them, like their beauty, depends on light.

Red is the colour of physical courage, strength, basic survival, stimulation, masculinity and excitement.
Yellow is the colour of optimism, confidence, self-esteem, extraversion and creativity.
Green is the colour of harmony, balance, refreshment, rest, reassurance, equilibrium and peace.
Blue is the colour of intellect, communication, trust, efficiency, serenity, duty, logic, coolness, reflection and calm.
Violet is the colour of spiritual awareness, containment, vision, luxury, authenticity, truth and quality.
